Women came to play a very significant role during the Progressive Era. They came to play an important role in the political change and focused mainly on the ratification of the 19th Amendment. Apart from this they also focused on resistance of alcohol consumption and focus on the reproductive rights of the women. In fact, full participation of women in the Progressive Era became one of the chief characteristics of the period. Women have been denied the right to vote for long. Now they were ready to be a part of the fight for equal rights.
